By participating in the Virtue Poker Sneak Preview, you agree to abide by the following rules:
- The Virtue Poker Sneak Preview Promotion begins on October 30th, 2019 and ends on November 8th, 2019 (the “Promotional Period”).
- To participate in the Beta One, you must download the Virtue Poker client application, install it on your computer and create an account. Your account consists of your full name, residential address, email address and Ethereum address. All of these fields are required to create a valid account.
- You are eligible to play on Virtue Poker if (a) you are at least twenty-one years of age as of October 30th, 2019 and (b) you do not live in a country or geographical region in which playing on Virtue Poker is against the law. It is your responsibility to confirm that playing on Virtue Poker is not restricted or illegal in your jurisdiction.
- The information you share with Virtue Poker when creating your account will be maintained as confidential by Virtue Poker, and will not be shared with any person or entity outside of Virtue Poker except (a) certain information may be shared with companies contracted by Virtue Poker to perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) services and (b) in order to comply with validly-served government requests such as subpoenas. We will use your email address to contact you with information that is relevant to your participation in the Beta, and for no other purpose, unless we ask for and receive your permission to contact you for other purposes.
- You may have one and only one registered account. If you have more than one account for any reason, all of your accounts will be closed, you will be ineligible to participate in any competitions for prizes and you will be suspended from further play during the Beta testing phases.
- You may not participate with, collude, exchange information with or otherwise engage with other Virtue Poker players for the purpose of gaining an advantage in any of the competitions for prizes that we may conduct during the Beta One testing round. This includes discussing the content of your hand (whether in chat or otherwise), intentionally losing chips to another player, soft-playing to avoid beating another player or any other behavior that is prohibited based on the Tournament Directors’ Association (TDA) rules as they apply to cash (ring) games. If it is found that you engaged in any behavior that gave you an unfair advantage over other players during the Promotional Period, your account will be suspended from further play during the Promotional Period, any prizes won during the Promotional Period will be forfeited and you may be permanently barred from play on Virtue Poker.
- All decisions regarding these rules, hands played, prizes won or anything else involved in the conduct of the Beta One are made by the Virtue Poker management team, which reserves the right to make whatever decisions may be required in the best interests of the game. All such decisions are final.
- You are solely responsible for any and all taxes that are or may become payable on your winnings. Virtue Poker will report relevant winnings to the appropriate tax authorities. If you win a prize, we strongly suggest that you consult with a competent tax professional to advise you. Under no circumstances will Virtue Poker be responsible for the payment of any taxes, fees or other levies against you based on your winnings at Virtue Poker.
- All games played on Virtue Poker during the Promotional Period are play money games. There is no charge to play, and the only value exchanged is prizes that we award. The chips, tokens and ETH with which you play on the site are play money and have no cash value.
- We have sent you 20,000 Beta Virtue Poker Points (VPPs). Those VPPs are your bankroll for the entire Sneak Preview promotion, and no more will be issued. In certain cases, we have sent replacement VPPs to accounts of players who have had trouble transferring VPPs to the Virtue Poker site. It is an explicit violation of these rules to transfer more than 20,000 VPPs to your account. If you do so, you may be disqualified from this promotion and other Beta Test promotions, and may be barred from play on the Virtue Poker site in the future.
- In the case of conflict between these rules and the Virtue Poker Terms & Conditions, the Virtue Poker Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
